New beginning for Hosterfy
Over the past few days, you've probably noticed a drop in activity on our social networks. Indeed, we have an important announcement to make.
We've decided to change datacenter and migrate all our servers to DC2SCALE , Vélizy-Villacoublay (Paris) in order to guarantee better performance for our customers. This is why the coming week will be decisive.
Changes for Web customers
No outages are planned, apart from a few minor disruptions while DNS is fully propagated.
If your DNS zone is managed by a service provider other than us, you'll need to replace the old IP address (45.140.165.13) with the temporary IP address 193.168.146.150 (for around a week). However, if you're used to managing your DNS zone via CPanel, no action is required on your part.
When the migration is complete, you'll be able to change this IP back to the definitive address we'll let you know about later.
The new CPanel connection address is now https://web1-fr.hosterfy.com:2083. Similarly, for FTP/SFTP, e-mail and database connections, the definitive domain is web1-en.hosterfy.com, with the port remaining unchanged.
Changes for customers with game servers
The new node is ready and installed in the datacenter. We have started the migration of our customers' servers. No action is required on your part, and no interruption of service is foreseen except for the time it takes to transfer your server, which will last a few minutes maximum depending on its size.
Once your services have been migrated, you'll notice a much better ping and even higher performance :)
Outlook for Hosterfy
We're well aware that this is a big change for you and for us, but it's a necessary one if we're to take our services to the next level and deliver on our promise of performance at the best price!
We'll also be able to launch the VPS (KVM) range that many customers have been waiting for. We won't tell you more about this, but stay tuned to our website!
We're also planning a little surprise in the next few days to thank you for your patience and incredible support. Thank you for all the private messages you've sent us - they've really motivated us.
See you soon, Fynautes!
